Events have got of to a great start in Canberra for the city’s annual Balloon Spectacular.<\/p>\n
This annual fiesta is among the top ballooning events world-wide and attracts pilots and their balloons from Europe, Asia, America and of course Australia.<\/p>\n
The 10-day event started Friday morning with over 40 balloons taking to the skies.<\/p>\n
In almost perfect conditions some of the balloons headed out low over the lake.<\/p>\n
Of particular note were special shaped balloons – a football, Peg-leg Pete the Pirate Parrot and the controversial art piece balloon, Skywhale.<\/p>\n
Canberra’s Balloon Spectacular continues through till next weekend so there is still plenty of time to see the aerial show.<\/p>\n
