Balloon Slackline Attempt

This is a gasp-inducing stunt that even the bravest of daredevils might find a little tough to watch.

In a collaboration between slacklining group, Skyliners, and Spanish hot air balloon company, Globus Kon Tiki, this result is a nail-biting video that shows the team attempting to cross a slackline between two hot air balloons at altitude.

One particularly stomach-curining moment shows a point-of-view of one of the group climbing from the basket out onto the line and then attempting (and ultimately failing) to walk a few metres between the safety of the two balloon baskets over a drop of several thousand feet.

The closing credits of the video explains that no one managed to successfully cross the slackline, but the group is planning to try again.

Fear of heights or not, wobbling across that shaky wire is the last place we’d want to be.
