Hot air balloon lands at Xavier College
Another hot air balloon has made a spectacular landing in Melbourne’s east, this time on an oval at an exclusive private school.
Xavier College students walking to class this morning were shocked to see the Nova 100 balloon land just metres from the school’s historic chapel in Kew.
It comes just two days after another balloon landed in the front yard of a house in Auburn St in nearby Hawthorn.
In a statement issued this morning by Nova 100
“This morning the pilot of a Nova branded balloon, operated by Global Ballooning, made an unscheduled landing on Xavier College oval in Kew. We acknowledge the quick thinking efforts of the balloon’s pilot for locating a space to land safely and are thankful no one was hurt.”
More details soon.
