Hot air ballooning in Steamboat Springs
Before it was known as Ski Town USA, Steamboat Springs was a cowboy town. Steamboat Ski Resort is home to more Olympians than any other town in the USA, but known for its legendary champagne powder, spectacular scenery, and the cowboy way of life. It is a place where you can fulfill bucket list adventures like a hot air balloon ride or a trail ride in the snow.
Wild West Balloon Adventures flies year round. Weather permitting, they fly in the mornings. You float over the Yampa Valley to get a bird’s eye view of Steamboat Ski Resort, the town of Steamboat Springs, Flat Top Mountains, and the extinct volcano Hahns Peak. Del’s Triangle 3 Ranch offers trail rides year round. On the winter ride, you get a chance to enjoy winter’s splendor at its best with the peacefulness of the ride on the ranch. Del’s Triangle 3 Ranch is a family run ranch led by Ray Heid. Five generations of Heids have lived in the Yampa Valley. Winter rides are $80 a person. Children must be 6 or older to ride.
